Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad Receives New Polaris UTV with Kimtek EMS Unit

Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad has added a new Polaris UTV equipped with a Kimtek slide-in EMS unit, expanding its ability to respond in areas where traditional emergency vehicles can't reach.

This custom off-road response vehicle includes modified bench-style attendant seating for improved accessibility, along with a custom canopy manufactured by Nomad Industries for added protection and functionality.

Designed to improve emergency response in remote and challenging terrain, this versatile UTV provides another valuable tool to help the department better serve its community.

We are incredibly grateful to the Town of Robersonville and Robersonville Rescue & EMS for allowing our team to handle their latest ambulance remount. Remounting is one of the most cost-effective ways to refresh an emergency fleet without sacrificing quality, and this project is a prime example of that value in action.

For this build, we mounted the agency's existing box onto a rugged, reliable 2027 Ford E450 chassis. In addition to the chassis swap, we integrated several modern equipment upgrades to improve daily operations:

• Advanced Patient Handling: Equipped with a Stryker Power-PRO 2 stretcher and the Stryker Power-LOAD cot fastener system, significantly reducing the risk of lifting injuries for first responders.

• Upgraded Power & Interior: Installed a new Vanner Inverter/Charger for seamless power management, alongside a refreshed, ergonomic attendant seat.

When emergencies occur off the paved road or deep within tight, crowded public venues, traditional fire apparatus can face major access limits. To solve that problem, the Danville Fire Department has added a highly capable 2026 Polaris Ranger Northstar 1500 Crew to their frontline fleet.

Finished in Stealth Gray Smoke, this isn't your standard utility vehicle—it is a purpose-built tactical response unit. To ensure it performs like a full-sized emergency vehicle, our team outfitted it with a comprehensive Whelen emergency lighting and siren package, a high-visibility directional lightbar, and a rugged QTAC EMS-R slide-in insert by MTECH for rapid patient treatment and transport.

Darlington County EMS is officially kicking off a major fleet refresh! We are proud to deliver the first two units of a five-ambulance remount order, helping Darlington County significantly extend the life of their existing fleet while heavily upgrading performance and reliability.

These units are built on a 2025 Chevrolet Express G-4500 chassis and feature a completely refreshed Wheeled Coach ambulance body.
